Every year, the Potcake Place dog rescue charity in the Turks & Caicos Islands recruits tourists willing to spend their vacation time playing with unadopted dogs.

Every time there is a recruitment, there are many people waiting in line in front of the dog rescue center. They line up and wait up to two hours just to take care of and play with the adorable puppies. Besides playing with them, visitors can also take the dogs for a walk on Providenciales Island, in the Turks & Caicos archipelago in the Caribbean Sea.

A representative of Potcake Place said that caring for and cuddling the puppies is very important. They were once abandoned animals and had spent time with humans. Therefore, by taking them for walks and playing with them, visitors will help them feel less lonely before they are transferred to their new homes.

Although it is not paid, many animal lovers in the Caribbean still enjoy this job. They think there is nothing better than being able to wear a bikini and walk on the beach while taking their adorable dogs along to play. The conditions for customers to accept this job are to take good care of the dogs, not to leave them in the sun for too long and to clean up their waste. You also must not pull the leash too hard, causing the dog to injure.

There are about 50 - 70 dogs cared for and raised at Potcake, most of them are crossbreeds of Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd and English Fox Terrier, very intelligent, loyal and lovable. Many people commented that this dog crossbreed is "a very cute combo". This dog breed is named Potcake because people on the Caribbean island often feed them leftovers from hot pots.

There are hundreds of abandoned Potcake dogs on the island and they breed completely naturally so the number of stray dogs is increasing significantly. Potcake Place was established with the aim of creating a "roof" for homeless dogs, they will be cared for by volunteers who are dog-loving tourists.

This organization helps around 500 dogs get adopted each year, all for free. Potcake Place also assists visitors with the transportation process to bring their new pets home. While waiting to be adopted, any visitor can stop by to take the dogs at the center for a walk. Everything from leashes, water bottles, bowls, toys, snacks... are provided by Potcake Place.

The Caribbean rescue center's website says: "Come by, meet some of the dogs and learn more about our work. We have lots of puppies for homes. You can come and take a puppy for a walk on the beach, we'll provide everything, all you have to do is share a little love with the dogs."
