On February 5th, representatives from the People's Committee of A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province, announced that the district is calling on individuals and organizations from all over to donate used peach trees from the 2022 Lunar New Year to build and develop peach forests in the highlands.
According to a representative of the A Lưới District People's Committee, the idea of planting peach orchards in the highlands began to be realized after the Lunar New Year of 2021. Immediately afterwards, many people responded to the call and participated by donating peach trees.

The weather in Hue City is hotter than in A Luoi District, so peach trees, after the Lunar New Year celebrations, are difficult to grow for long periods and are often discarded by the locals. Therefore, the leaders of A Luoi District contacted the leaders of the Hue City Party Committee and the Green Parks Company to request the return of the trees that people intended to throw away, and to bring them to A Luoi District for experimental planting.
After a year of experimentation, the peach blossom garden has become one of the attractions that draws many locals and tourists to visit and take photos. In the first days of the Lunar New Year 2022, dozens of peach blossom trees in the garden bloomed brilliantly, attracting many visitors, especially young people.

The appeal, "Instead of throwing them away, donate peach blossoms to A Lưới district for Tet," continues this year with the aim of expanding the peach blossom forest model. People who wish to donate peach blossoms can deliver them to the park next to the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Le Loi - Tran Thuc Nhan Street, Hue City.
