The exhibition “Home” introduces 36 works, organized to celebrate the 70th birthday of artist Hoang Dinh, focusing on the common theme of Hanoi memories and family. The exhibition also features the participation of his children: Hoang Minh Thuy, Hoang Chuc Anh, Hoang Nguyen Khanh Linh and Hoang Khanh Nguyen.
The exhibition “Home” introduces 36 works, organized to celebrate the 70th birthday of artist Hoang Dinh, focusing on the common creative theme of memories of Hanoi and family.
Artist Hoang Dinh has released a series of 15 new oil and lacquer paintings about Hanoi streets - new "visual signals" full of energy. The artist's four children all have the ability to paint, bringing 21 oil paintings of landscapes, abstractions and portraits with a lot of affection, clarity and poetry.

Sharing with Travellive about the exhibition's message, artist Hoang Dinh said: "The theme of this exhibition is to present a new style of expressing Hanoi. Although there are many artists painting about this place, I still want to bring a most special Hanoi. Therefore, I use visual signals for people to feel Hanoi, not just look and see.
The exhibition 'Home' has a broader meaning that encompasses one's home. For me, "home" is family, a warm home. The place where I, my family, and my children spend years living together, where my children have beautiful childhood memories, then grow up and succeed on their own paths. Even though I am far away from home, I still always remember my family, even though I stumble and am sad, I will overcome it, that is home. The visual signal here I want to give everyone to feel for themselves. At a sudden moment, I myself will also be in those dreams, reminiscing about my family, the past, the simple working people or even the most ordinary people... they still overcome and regain balance."

Painter Hoang Dinh was born in 1953, he graduated from high school and university at the University of Industrial Fine Arts, master's degree in Art & Design in the Netherlands. He was in charge of the Graphic Arts department at the Open University for 19 years. The male artist has been passionate about painting since childhood and has continuously practiced painting in addition to his graphic design work. Painter Hoang Dinh has also participated in many group exhibitions and successfully organized solo exhibitions. He has been awarded many art awards at home and abroad; many of his works are kept in the US, Canada, the Netherlands, Austria, Singapore and Vietnam.
