The Russian tour group will stay at hotels and resorts in Bai Dai, Cam Lam district, such as Selectum Noa Resort Cam Ranh, Cam Ranh Riviera Beach Resort & Spa, and visit many tourist attractions permitted to welcome international visitors in the province.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism, the department, along with several related units and Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited, is organizing a visit for a Russian tourist group to the province on December 26th. “This is the first Russian tourist group to return after international tourism was temporarily suspended in March last year. It is expected that from now until the end of March next year, Anex will have two flights per week bringing tourists,” she said, adding that each flight will carry over 300 passengers. Currently, along with Anex Vietnam, several other businesses operating in the Russian market also have plans to connect with the market.
Accordingly, tourism businesses also hope that regulations on medical quarantine for international tourists will be relaxed. “We hope that medical quarantine regulations will be eased to make it easier to attract tourists. Currently, we plan to bring Russian tourists from the first quarter of 2022,” shared Ms. Hoang Thi Phong Thu, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Pegas Misr Travel Vietnam Co., Ltd. It is known that Russia and China are the two largest markets for Khanh Hoa province's tourism industry. Russian tourists often arrive via charter flights and stay for extended periods at coastal resorts.
Khanh Hoa, along with Kien Giang (Phu Quoc), Da Nang, Quang Ninh, and Quang Nam, are the five localities permitted to implement a pilot program to welcome international tourists to Vietnam. To date, only Khanh Hoa, Phu Quoc, and Quang Nam have received tourists.
