At the heart of the floating hotel is a circular structure situated on Sweden's Lule River, accessible only via a wooden walkway designed to resemble logs floating on the water.
Arctic Bath, located approximately 75 minutes from Luleå Airport, offers five-star dining experiences at its hotel restaurant.
In the middle of this floating building is a giant ice bath, offering a rather spectacular spa experience that provokes the curiosity of brave guests.
The rest of the hotel includes several saunas offering a variety of enjoyable sauna experiences, an important part of Scandinavian culture.
The hotel's 12 rooms are scattered along the riverbank and on the water's edge. The Scandi-chic cabins offer stunning sky views and feature minimalist, cozy furnishings.

The unusual design of the Arctic Bath floating hotel was first unveiled to the public in early 2018, with its striking architectural shapes and water-themed architecture captivating the imagination of travelers worldwide. The design was inspired by the Swedish tradition of logging and transporting timber by river.
CEO Peter Engström shared that bringing a hotel from design to reality isn't always easy. In fact, if he had known about the technical challenges ahead, he might have stopped construction and chosen a more feasible idea.

The hotel was designed by architects Beces Harström and Johan Kauppit, with the aim of evoking a continuous dialogue between nature and man-made structures.
The cabins are built above ground to avoid environmental impact, as sustainability is a business philosophy the hotel always pursues.
The decision to locate some of the cabins on land was made relatively late. Although construction on land is easier than on water, Engstrom said the team also faced many challenges, such as ensuring the cabin's height wouldn't interfere with freshwater and electricity supplies.

The theme of wellness is one of Arctic Bath's top priorities, where guests can enjoy carefully selected, locally sourced food and relax in cold baths that help relieve muscle aches and stress.

Other activities offered by the riverside hotel include yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. Additionally, you can enjoy the outdoors with programs such as bear watching, horseback riding, and wildlife photography courses. Arctic Bath also aims to bridge the gap between tourists and the local people living in the Harads village. Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about Sámi culture by visiting the homes of local residents.
During the winter months, you can admire the colorful aurora borealis in the sky above the floating hotel.
In particular, the hotel is designed to give guests the perfect vantage point to admire the starry sky and the famous aurora borealis. However, it's not easy to be one of the lucky ones to have the opportunity to use the service here, as the hotel requires reservations at least 6 months in advance.
