The Taste of Australia 2022 program aims to promote the quality, variety, and convenience of Australian agricultural, aquatic, and other products currently available in Vietnam, such as beef, lamb, abalone, lobster, wine, etc.
Notably, this event featured Luke Nguyen, a world-renowned Australian chef of Vietnamese descent. He demonstrated how to prepare Australian dishes using Vietnamese methods. Speaking to Travellive, Luke Nguyen stated that modern Australian cuisine has the ability to blend and inherit elements from many different cultures.
"The distinctiveness of Australian cuisine comes from the strictest processes in food production, cultivation, and preservation," Luke Nguyen shared. "When you eat an oyster from Tasmania imported into Vietnam, you can taste the flavor of the sea in that region."

The program includes a series of events and activities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. More than 40 restaurants, cafes, and bars in both cities will participate in the event celebrating Australian food; some will be serving special menus or dishes as part of the program.
