According to the Vice President and General Secretary of Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), the VITM Hanoi 2022 Fair this time has a new meaning. It is an activity of tourism businesses implementing the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program, as well as the Government's Decision to fully reopen Vietnam Tourism from March 15, 2022.

Speaking at the opening of the Fair, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet shared that: Tourism has been stagnant for two years and has been heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, the green economy is starting to recover, starting with the event of reopening all tourism activities from March 15, followed by the VITM Hanoi International Tourism Fair 2022. "This is one of the important events to restart trade activities, connect, cooperate, restore and develop tourism nationwide" - the Deputy Minister affirmed.
The Deputy Minister emphasized: “This is also a task and challenge for Vietnam Tourism in the coming time. The tourism industry needs to focus on promoting investment, renovating and upgrading tourism technical facilities, investing in developing new products, new destinations, new flight routes according to the needs and new tourism trends after the pandemic”.

VITM Hanoi International Tourism Fair 2022 has many sideline events and activities with diverse contents, related to tourism recovery and development.
