“Step into the history of One Pillar Pagoda with Virtual Reality technology” is a project carried out by SEN Heritage, a group of researchers, architects, artists, and young people who love traditional Vietnamese culture.
One Pillar Pagoda was built in 1049 under the reign of King Ly Thai Tong, and was restored many times during the Tran, Later Le, Nguyen dynasties, and most recently in the mid-20th century. With each "change of clothes", the pagoda became more distant from the original image built by the Ly dynasty.

Therefore, SEN Heritage spent three years researching the ruins of the stone pillars of Dam Pagoda - which are believed to be the pillars supporting the ancient One Pillar Pagoda - and the Sung Thien Dien Linh stele - a perfect work of sculpture and the only original text remaining from the Ly Dynasty mentioning the One Pillar Pagoda, along with many other cultural and Buddhist documents in the area, so that it could reconstruct the most authentic Dien Huu Pagoda with the quintessential architecture of the Ly Dynasty.

SEN Heritage representative said that the project not only pays attention to cultural and artistic elements, but the architectural proportions are also meticulously measured based on specific figures, not only bringing viewers "stepping into history", but more importantly - "walking in history".

From the virtual tour project of the One Pillar Pagoda of the Ly Dynasty, SEN Heritage "embraced the dream" that one day the pagoda would be restored to its full size, giving Vietnamese people the opportunity to "touch the thousand-year-old artifact" and immerse themselves in the splendid space of royal Buddhist art.
