Two new performance spaces have been put into operation: the Four-Sided Pavilion of Serenity and the Long Quang Royal Boat.

This is where visitors have the opportunity to admire the magnificent and splendid royal palace; savor cups of richly flavored royal tea; be captivated by the melodies and folk songs of Hue; attend classes in royal dance and singing; and participate in past entertainments of the ancient kings and officials (dancing in the lake, reciting poetry, etc.).

The Four-Sided Pavilion of SerenityLocated at Hoa Binh Gate, Hue Imperial Citadel (Dang Thai Than Street, Hue City), the pavilion was built in 1923 by King Khai Dinh (1916-1925) in preparation for his 40th birthday celebration. Built on the former site of Tu Thong Pavilion from the time of King Gia Long (1802-1820), the pavilion served as a place for the king and royal family to relax, enjoy the scenery, and also as a daily study place for princes and princesses during the late Nguyen Dynasty.

The Four-Sided Pavilion of Peace is a rare structure within the Imperial Palace that faces north, symbolizing the dynasty's aspiration for peace. Standing on the second floor of the pavilion, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Imperial Palace's architecture and observe the peaceful life of the people within the Hue Citadel.

Long Quang Royal BoatAt Nghinh Luong Dinh wharf (Le Duan Street, Hue City), there is also one of the unique performance spaces that tourists should not miss when visiting Hue. This royal boat was built according to the original model of the Te Thong royal boat from the Nguyen Dynasty. The bow and stern of the boat are shaped like dragons, the roof is made of wood resembling yellow tiles, and the "scholarly" doors are all exquisitely carved. Inside, the boat is covered with silk curtains, and the floor is covered with brocade carpets.

Long Quang Boat is a place where tourists can admire the picturesque natural scenery, ancient cultural and historical relics, and the life of the people of Hue on both sides of the Perfume River. In particular, it will serve tourists the royal dishes that the Nguyen emperors used to entertain guests at the "Imperial Banquets".

The two newly opened performance spaces help diversify tourism services within the Hue Imperial Citadel complex, contributing to promoting the unique cultural beauty of the ancient capital, while simultaneously reviving, preserving, and developing the cultural values of the Hue imperial court, creating a profound impression on domestic and international tourists visiting this land.
