The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province has just agreed on the policy of building a pilot plan to welcome international tourists with "vaccine passports" by charter flights to this locality.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province assigned the Department of Tourism to coordinate with the Department of Health and the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to develop a detailed plan, collect opinions from relevant departments, branches, localities, units and organizations; synthesize and report to the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee before finalizing and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for decision.

The pilot plan to welcome international tourists with “vaccine passports” by charter flights to Khanh Hoa must be updated with the latest instructions from the Government and central ministries and branches. The local leaders also requested that if implemented, the pilot should only be on a small scale, with little impact on local socio-economic activities and the lives of surrounding people.
At the same time, the plan must have a close coordination mechanism between functional agencies of the province, ministries, central branches, local authorities and related organizations and individuals; clearly assign tasks and only implement them at a time appropriate to the reality of Covid-19 epidemic prevention work in the province.

According to Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, when allowed to pilot, the locality will prioritize groups of guests who take beach vacations, use closed tourism services at tourist areas, play golf, and travel less...
International tourists with a “vaccine passport” are international visitors who have been fully vaccinated with two doses of vaccine with an accompanying certificate, and have a negative PT-PCR test within 72 hours before departure.
The expected implementation time of vaccine passports is from August 2021. The reception areas are hotels, resorts, and resorts in Bai Dai beach (Cam Ranh city).
