The first destination on our trip is Yangmingshan National Park. One of the most beautiful parks in Taiwan, Yangmingshan Park is a paradise of flowers. Located just about 45 minutes from downtown Taipei, it has become a must-see destination when visiting Taipei.
Visitors can easily reach Yangmingshan by various means of transportation, especially the MRT from all stations, as the park is surrounded by a convenient road network. You can also choose to take minibus route 18, which has many stops, to explore unique locations.
Travel blogger Ly Thanh Co is particularly fond of the natural scenery in this volcanic area.

As Taiwan's main volcanic region, Yangmingshan has gradually formed diverse landscapes over time, featuring volcanoes, hot springs, and pristine reed-covered hills.
Yangmingshan is a valley surrounded by majestic mountain ranges. Despite human development, Yangmingshan retains its natural, vibrant, and unspoiled beauty. The high average annual rainfall has bestowed upon this area a dazzling natural landscape and diverse vegetation, with over 1000 varieties of peach blossoms and 800 species of rhododendrons. To facilitate visitors' enjoyment of the scenery, the walking trails here have been carefully developed, featuring stone-paved paths and wooden railings leading to unique viewpoints. Travel blogger Ly Thanh Co was delighted to explore the poetic and peaceful atmosphere of Yangmingshan National Park.
The snack stalls here are also very diverse, offering dishes such as stinky tofu with beef meatballs, mala soup, and more.
Leaving the national park, the exploration of Taiwan continued as the group descended the mountain to reach Beitou Library, one of the 25 most beautiful libraries in the world.
The next stop for the group was the Beitou Library. This is Taiwan's first green library, opened in November 2006 in the Beitou hot spring area of Taipei City. Surrounded by lush greenery, at first glance, the library resembles a giant wooden ship anchored in the middle of a forest.
The Beitou Library's floors all feature large balconies, connecting to an outdoor reading area where people can comfortably enjoy the harmony between the library space and the surrounding natural elements. As a green library, it utilizes energy from solar panels, and 40% of rainwater, thanks to the unique roof design, flows down to nourish the surrounding soil and vegetation.
Beitou Public Library is like a quiet, refreshing retreat, far removed from the hustle and bustle of life in Taipei.
People of all ages come here to read and relax.
More than just a tourist destination, the Beitou hot spring area preserves historical values through its ancient Japanese architecture in the heart of Taiwan. The Beitou Hot Spring Museum was once a public hot spring bathhouse that has been restored as a cultural heritage site. The design of this public bathhouse is based on the hot spring bathhouses on Mount Izu in Japan. The building has two floors; the first floor is constructed of classic red brick, and the second floor is made of oak wood. Currently, the first floor includes a public bathhouse exhibition area and a museum exploring the water conduction and mineral processing processes.
The large baths, spacious waiting areas, bathing utensils, and even the water supply and filtration processes are all remarkably well-preserved. From the old white tiled walls surrounding the baths to the washbasins and wooden ladles, every detail retains the image of the most prosperous era of the old city of Beitou.
Besides the museum, Beitou Thermal Valley is considered the most attractive destination in Beitou. The hot springs here are of the blue-green sulfur type, with a jade-like color and the ability to radiate light. The water is always boiling at temperatures between 80 and 100 degrees Celsius, too hot for bathing. Therefore, tourists often visit Beitou Thermal Valley more for sightseeing and taking photos because of its incredibly beautiful and picturesque scenery. During the journey, the stories of the ancient Ketagalan tribe are also very interesting. They are considered the first people to arrive in the Taipei basin. Although they knew about the hot springs in the Beitou area, the tribe did not use them at all and called the area "Pataauw," meaning "Witch's Dwelling Place," due to the year-round fog covering the valley.

The couple Binh An and Phuong Nga also had some very romantic moments at Bentou hot springs.
The members of the group had a fun and rewarding day of exploration.
The natural beauty of Beitou has made Taipei an attractive destination for travelers from all over the world. Visitors often combine sightseeing with exploring history, nature, culture, and traditions.
