A touch of elegance amidst the land of poetry.
Unlike other hotels I've stayed at, Silk Path Grand Hue Hotel & Spa feels more like an art exhibition space. According to the Singaporean manager, Silk Path Grand Hue was built based on the owner's passion for Indochinese architecture, with an eclectic, upscale philosophy as its guiding principle. Right in the hotel lobby is a collection of lacquer paintings by the renowned artist Bui Huu Hung, one of the masters of Vietnamese fine arts. The space evokes an indescribable, enchanting feeling, like a proud, elegant muse with untold stories that captivate and intrigue visitors, making them want to linger.
Every detail in the hotel's interior evokes the opulent style of the Hue Imperial Palace and nostalgic European influences: high ceilings, wide corridors, majestic pergolas, arched windows that let in light, and walls clad in symmetrical dragon-scale tiles. The furniture and decorations are harmonious, reflecting a deep appreciation for Hue and its people: handcrafted pottery and porcelain from local villages; a collection of elegantly colored vases, jars, and cups; and cheerful folk clown figurines.

A friend of mine once told me about her vacation here and shared that she wanted her middle-aged wedding to be in Hue and at Silk Path. Only after visiting this place did I understand why she could dream of such a dazzling wedding. The eye-catching interior architecture, exquisite cuisine, and luxurious banquet hall, combined with the romantic, sun-drenched green gardens, are what many couples love.
When touring the rooms, "aesthetics" was the first word that came to mind. 198 rooms, 198 meticulously arranged works of art, based on three color schemes – gold, blue, and crimson – symbolizing earth, water, and sky, offering privacy while remaining incredibly relaxing. I especially enjoyed the afternoons, after a busy day, when I was alone in my room, truly resting, feeling the gentle rhythm of the ancient capital, with the lingering sunset reflecting on the tranquil An Cuu River.
The destination of dreams
Following the flow of the past, present, and future, Silk Path Grand Hue offers fascinating experiences, leaving a lasting impression on resort, culinary, and tourism aspects that I and many colleagues often ponder.
Traveling back in time, our group of 20 tourists felt as if we had stepped into a moonlit banquet. Dressed in elegant Nguyen Dynasty costumes, we reveled in the melodious music and enjoyed fragrant tea and exquisite pastries prepared by the head chef himself. The enchanting outdoor space, adorned with shimmering, multicolored lanterns, made the gathering and conversation even more captivating.

Returning to the present, Silk Path Grand Hue is where I had a wonderful sensory experience. The two restaurants, Nam Phuong and Olivio, within the hotel grounds pursue a philosophy of excellence, attracting food lovers with their creativity through authentic Vietnamese and Hue flavors, as well as novel European and Mediterranean tastes. I spent an entire morning, going from The Gym to Chi Spa to exercise and then relax, rejuvenating my energy. What I liked most about Silk Path was its intelligent and skillful layout: the amenities here all utilize natural light and optimize harmony with nature, with surrounding views of year-round gardens and a lush outdoor swimming pool, creating a resort-entertainment complex suitable for diverse needs and ages.

Hopefully, Silk Path Grand Hue Hotel & Spa will continue to strive for "personalized experiences and professional 5-star service," as the Manager shared, so that every guest can create their own journey, and every trip becomes a dream come true.
A journey of sacred connection
Continuing the untold story, I stopped at De An Hien, just a 10-minute drive from the hotel. This is one of the most beautiful ancient garden houses in Hue and a model of landscape, feng shui, and architecture, preserved and managed by Silk Path Hotels & Resorts.

Built in the late 19th century, with its first owner being the 18th princess of King Duc Duc, An Hien has withstood many ups and downs, yet it still retains its old-world charm. It features a majestic entrance gate, two rows of pristine trees providing shade, a traditional three-bay house with two wings, a garden overflowing with the fragrance and colors of rare flowers and fruit trees from all three regions of Vietnam (North, Central, and South), as well as a small pond where lotus and water lilies thrive.
As the years passed, the garden house remained an ideal stop for enjoying tea and evoking unforgettable memories of a bygone era. A unique aspect of An Hien: despite changing owners several times, the house has always belonged to royalty, officials, intellectuals, and the upper class of Hue. Therefore, still wearing the traditional costume borrowed from the hotel, I took the opportunity to capture unique photos at An Hien and Silk Path Grand Hue!
