From 5:30 AM, thousands of people of all ages from Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces gathered at the event area to warm up and get ready for the Resolution Run 2019. At exactly 7:10 AM, more than 1,700 athletes started the 10km race. Immediately afterwards, at 7:20 AM, more than 1,300 athletes started the 5km race. The enthusiasm, determination, and dynamism of thousands of people in bright yellow shirts not only created a lively atmosphere on the race course but also allowed participants to enjoy the joy of a highly community-oriented sporting activity.

The support of local authorities, relevant agencies, partners, and especially the enthusiasm of thousands of participants, contributed to the success of this year's event. Resolution Run 2019 truly boosted people's determination to change themselves to improve their health, spirit, and willpower. Therefore, it can be confidently said that Resolution Run 2019 helped us start the new year full of energy.

Held for the second time in Vietnam, the Resolution Run has undergone significant improvements to become an increasingly professional and community-friendly running event. For the 5km and 10km distances, all participating athletes are fitted with tracking devices (chips) to monitor their running times. As part of the event, the organizers also donated 100,000,000 VND from the registration fees to provide meaningful gifts to diabetes patients through the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of Poor Patients.
A symbolic check was presented, representing a donation of 100 million VND to diabetes patients.
Along with Vietnam, Resolution Run 2019 took place almost simultaneously in other Asian countries where Sun Life has a presence. Besides Vietnam, other countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Hong Kong also organized the run to spread the message of "enjoying a healthier life," encouraging an active lifestyle in the community and effectively preventing diabetes.
RESULTS OF THE COMPETITION:
In the 5km race, the first prize in the men's category went to athlete Nguyen Dang Khoa (contestant number 50307) from Bau Phuong Club with a running time of 16 minutes and 14 seconds.
Meanwhile, in the women's category, first place went to athlete Watanabe Chiharu (contestant number 50345) from the Ho Chi Minh Running Club with a total running time of 18 minutes and 25 seconds.

In the 10km race, first place in the men's category went to athlete Pham Ngoc Phan (contestant number 10040) from Saigon Speedsters Club with a time of 33 minutes and 44 seconds.
In the women's category, first place went to athlete Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong (contestant number 10986) from Dong Nai Club with a running time of 43 minutes and 34 seconds.
First and second prizes were awarded to the female athletes in the 10km race.
