Classy yet fun, the New Year Cooking's Show 2019

The New Year Cooking's Show 2019 is part of the "The art of homemade finefood" series of events and is the 4th event organized by Art Kitchen Studio in collaboration with Annam Gourmet.

The event brought together prominent figures such as Ms. Thu Giao - founder of G-lounge and also the MC of this event; Chef Sakal Phoeng - Head Chef of Annam Gourmet, President of the International Chefs Association in Vietnam (Escoffier); Chef Vu Xuan Truong - Runner-up of the Young Talent Escoffier Asia 2018 competition; Chef Vu Nhat Thong - Chairman of the Saigon Professional Chefs Association; and Ms. Bui Thu Thao - culinary expert and founder of Art Kitchen Studio.

In addition, the event also featured makeup artist Hung Max, MC Thai Minh Chau, and an audience including housewives, restaurant owners, female entrepreneurs, food bloggers, chefs, and more.

In the warm and elegant setting of Annam Lounge, attendees listened as chefs shared recipes for several delicious and unique dishes specially prepared for the New Year. The dishes presented included a Cold Cut Platter – a New Year's appetizer created by Ms. Bui Thu Thao; followed by two beef dishes: beef tartare with caviar and pan-fried beef with French onion sauce by Chef Sakal; Chef Xuan Truong's salmon tartare with avocado and caviar – inspired by and combined with traditional Vietnamese New Year ingredients like dried shrimp and pickled shallots; and finally, pan-fried beef with potatoes and truffle mushroom sauce by Chef Vu Nhat Thong.

The intelligent and sophisticated selection of ingredients, combined with visually appealing food presentation, has helped audiences better understand the value of fine dining – which is also the reason behind the collaboration between Art Kitchen Studio, a community of discerning food lovers, and Annam Gourmet, a high-quality food supply chain that contributes to the full flavor profile of internationally acclaimed dishes.

Another thing that audiences enjoyed about this event was the intimate and friendly atmosphere it created. Humorous anecdotes shared by the MC and chefs interspersed throughout the cooking process made the cooking show more enjoyable than ever. In particular, the audience also got to participate in exciting prize draws.
