Located in the Naucalpan forest, north of Mexico's capital, El Nido de Quetzalcoatl is the ideal resort for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Designed by architect Senosiain, this architecturally unusual resort has just 10 apartments. It is one of Senosiain’s most iconic eco-projects and is named after the Aztec Serpent God, Quetzalcoatl.

Architect Senosiain's design is a departure from traditional Mexican architecture, yet still very environmentally friendly. The project is built on top of natural caves, with 10 apartments totaling over 15,000 square meters, resembling a slithering snake.
Each apartment here consists of a living room, a kitchen and a fully equipped laundry room. These rooms are connected by tunnels and eliminate the design of doors between rooms to maximize natural light.
The resort is designed to be very environmentally friendly and even has a vegetable garden to provide clean food for guests.
