The rows of straight bamboo on the hillsides or in the valleys, alongside the traditional yin-yang tiled-roof houses of the local people, leave a deep impression on visitors with their rustic, unspoiled beauty and peaceful, almost mystical atmosphere. The deeper you go, the denser the bamboo stalks become, lining both sides of the path, adding to the romantic and poetic charm. The farm has a total area of 30 hectares, of which 20 hectares are planted with bamboo and 10 hectares with other types of bamboo (a family of bamboo). Local people say it takes many years for the bamboo to mature and reach the standard height. After that, they will thin, harvest, and plant additional seedlings.
The bamboo grown here belongs to the pole bamboo family, with tall, strong, and durable stems, used to produce many household items as well as for construction purposes. Previously, pole bamboo in Nguyen Binh was primarily harvested for economic purposes. Today, with the development of tourism, Thanh Cong bamboo forest has become an attractive destination, drawing many visitors to explore and experience its beauty.

Residents of the Thanh Cong bamboo forest management team shared with Travellive: "Nguyen Binh district is attracting more and more tourists thanks to its bamboo forest. Locals are reminded not to exploit the forest indiscriminately in order to preserve its lush green landscape and ensure its continued growth. Currently, we are assigned to work two days a week, including weekdays, to guide and monitor the number of tourists visiting each day."
To develop the tourism potential of the bamboo forest landscape, in 2021, Nguyen Binh district implemented a breakthrough program to build a viewpoint and experience the bamboo garden in the Phja Oac - Phja Den area. Currently, Nguyen Binh district is gradually completing the infrastructure: walking paths in the bamboo garden, reception houses, viewing pavilions, photo spots, signposts, etc., to welcome and serve tourists.
