Trung Khanh District (Cao Bang Province) is one of eight districts and cities located within the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark and possesses many outstanding heritage sites and beautiful landscapes of value for tourism development, attracting visitors to explore and experience.

According to the People's Committee of Trung Khanh district, immediately after being selected as heritage sites within the province's eastern experiential tourism route, the district intensified its efforts in disseminating information and educating local officials and residents about the value of geological, cultural, and biodiversity heritage in socio-economic development.

Currently, the district has 8 heritage sites located within the "Experience Traditional Cultures in a Wonderland" tourism route, including: Thoong Got Landscape Heritage Site (site number 37); Chestnut Garden (site number 38); Nung Horse Homestay (site number 39); Waterwheel (site number 40); Khuoi Ky Stone Village (site number 41); Geopark Information Center (site number 42); Nguom Ngao Cave (site number 43); Ban Gioc Waterfall (site number 44).

As a locality where ethnic minorities account for 95% of the district's population, each ethnic group has its own history of development, language, economic activities, and unique cultural characteristics, creating a diverse and rich cultural landscape. Therefore, preserving traditional culture is always a priority for the locality, implemented in many forms. According to Ms. Chu Thi Vinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Khanh District, the management and construction of infrastructure at heritage sites in the district are being actively carried out. However, due to low investment in infrastructure at tourism sites within the Geopark and community tourism models, tourism products are still small-scale, fragmented, and spontaneous, so attracting investment has not been very effective. In the future, the district will continue to promote the implementation of community tourism models and the established rest stops to effectively operate the heritage sites.

The "Experience Local Culture in a Fairytale Land" tour to the East will truly be a highlight for visitors. Besides the unique mature and ancient kart landscapes and famous tourist attractions, visitors will have the opportunity to visit traditional craft villages such as: Phuc Sen blacksmith village, Khuoi Ky stone carving village, Phja Thap incense village, Cap Tao and Phi Hai rice cake villages, along with dozens of folk festivals such as: Quang Uyen fireworks, Nang Hai Phuc Hoa festival, and the traditional long tong festival of the Tay, Nung, Dao, and San Chi people...
