Visitors can walk in a snow tunnel up to 20 meters high at Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, Japan.

This is the road connecting Toyama and Nagano prefectures called the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. In mid-winter, the route is covered in snow, but from spring to early summer, a part of the route is opened for the "Snow Walk" event.

In the past, in order to open the entire Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Router, snow was cleared from spring to ensure the road from Bijoudaira Station to Murodou was passable. However, in 1993, after the "Snow Walk" event became popular, it became an annual event here. The 2019 event was held from April 15 to November 30.
