The Gurney resort system in the US states of Montauk and Newport is setting up themed snow igloos for Christmas. Each igloo will come with unique design, fun activities, warm blankets, some delicious treats, and even themed music.
For example, the Astrology igloo at the Gurney resort in Montauk state will include tarot cards with instructions, a crystal ball, decorative pictures, and a tarot reading. But if you're not interested in fortune telling, you can choose to stay in a Harry Potter-themed igloo. This igloo will include potions modeled after those in the films, wands, and Harry Potter soundtracks. In addition, the igloos are equipped with bells for convenient ordering food or drinks from the Tillie restaurant.
At Gurney Resort in Montauk and Seawater Spa, igloos will be available from now until March 1, 2020, but reservations are required. There are seven themed igloos available: Santa Workshop; Hut; Astronomy; Astronomy; Harry Potter; Alpine Skiing; and Tropical Summer.
At Gurney's Newport Resort & Marina, the snow igloos will be available from now until February 29, 2020. Although there are only three snow igloos, the fun and engaging themes remain. These include: Santa Workshop, Astrology, and Tropical Summer.
All of these igloos are incredibly warm and fully equipped with entertainment facilities, plus a transparent protective layer that allows you to comfortably admire the stunning scenery outside. Each igloo can accommodate up to 8 people at a time for up to two hours. The price to stay in an igloo is 25 US per person. All proceeds from the Gurney resort in Montauk will go to Make-a-Wish, and all proceeds from Gurney in Newport will be donated to the Big Brother, Big Sisters charity in Rhode Island.
