Spending a lot of time visiting the ancient town of Lijiang, Ngoc Anh and her friends were impressed by the unique architecture of this place. This ancient town is a convergence of the quintessence of many different ethnic groups such as Han, Bai, Lo Lo, Tibetan, Naxi and other ethnic minorities in the area. From the overall organization of the city to the technique and architecture, this place shows a unique, very distinct style, not influenced by the typical motifs of other cities in the region. This is what has made Lijiang a famous and unmistakable tourist destination.
This place converges the quintessence of many different ethnic groups.
"The ancient town of Lijiang focuses mainly on water, with a water system distributed throughout the ancient town area. The ancient citadel area is also famous for its curved bridges over cool, clear canals, giving visitors a pleasant feeling when walking around," Ngoc Anh said.
In terms of shape and external structure, the houses in the ancient citadel area combine Han, Tibetan, and Bai architecture, using earthen and stone walls, layered roofs with blue tiles, wooden frames, along with typical painting and art details. In particular, most of the houses are built in the style of three-ward and one-projecting wall, four-way and five-thousand-level, front and back courtyards, one-ton and one-level courtyards, etc.

Ngoc Anh also said that the architecture in Lijiang harmoniously combines natural beauty and human ingenuity, art and ancient civilization. The art in Lijiang's architecture comes from a deep understanding of the lives of the Naxi people, is a product of the exchange of local ethnic culture and technology, and carries an important part of the precious architectural heritage of the Chinese nation.
During her time in Lijiang, the biggest impression she had was the melodious sound of music that appeared everywhere on the streets. From coffee shops with classical music, small speakers on the street with traditional melodies, bamboo flutes, and the sounds of amateur musicians on the street,... all brought a sense of peace and relaxation to every visitor.

"Black Dragon Pond is considered a clear testament to the prosperity and wealth of Lijiang town. What is special here is the wonderful ability of the art to recreate ancient Chinese architecture and culture. In addition to the architecture, this place also impressed me with its beautiful landscape like a mural, emerald green water, and lush flowers and leaves that made everyone in our group admire it," Ngoc Anh recalled.
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain – The noble crown of Lijiang Ancient Town
From Black Dragon Pool, visitors can also admire the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain with its majestic beauty that has lasted for thousands of years. The Snow Mountain provides a natural water source all year round, contributing to the prosperity of the Yunnan Lijiang region. Considered the "noble crown" of the ancient city of Lijiang, it leaves a deep impression in the hearts of those who have ever set foot here. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is famous as the 71st highest mountain in the world, with 13 majestic peaks. Among them, Shanzidou is the highest peak.

"The memory that we will always remember is when we arrived here, the whole group left our luggage at the police station. We were so engrossed in hanging out and taking pictures that we didn't get our things until 5:30 pm, but unfortunately, the police station was closed. While we were wondering what to do, we suddenly saw a note left on the corner of the door, with the words 'If you come back, please contact me'. After waiting about 20 minutes, a policewoman came by taxi and enthusiastically opened the door for us to get our luggage. It was so lucky to meet such kind people when traveling," Ngoc Anh shared.

Not only famous for its dreamy ancient town and breathtaking landscapes, Lijiang is also memorable for its unique cuisine. Ngoc Anh confided: "In addition to the dishes in the restaurant, street snacks are also a new experience for me. Standing around the steaming stalls and chatting with the sellers also gives me an understanding of the local culture that cannot be learned anywhere else."
