Kunming – The capital of spring flowers

Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, is situated at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level and boasts a history spanning 2,400 years. Located at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level, Lijiang boasts a climate characteristic of a wild plateau region, with crystal-clear lakes where you can see the bottom, Tibetan yaks standing peacefully by the lake, and moss-covered stone steps creating a magical, nostalgic atmosphere.

Lijiang is considered the "Venice of the East" because of its striking resemblance to this famous Italian destination. The ancient town is surrounded by numerous canals and streams flowing through the residential areas. Willow trees lining the canal banks create a gentle, graceful, and poetic atmosphere, offering a peaceful ambiance. Lijiang Old Town is a blend of Han, Bi, and Tibetan architecture. It boasts 354 bridges spanning the Jade River within the city, interspersed with small canals winding through the streets and houses, creating tranquil and serene corners. With its breathtaking scenery, majestic mountains, and picturesque landscapes, every corner of Lijiang is a captivating masterpiece.

Thach Lam Stone Forest – A masterpiece of nature

Shilin, or Stone Forest, is a natural rock formation located in Shilin Yi Autonomous County, 120 km from Kunming city. It covers an area of ​​12 square kilometers.²This is considered the world's largest lava geomorphological cluster. Shilin is typical of a geological area formed and transformed over billions of years thanks to its unique karst geomorphology. On March 12, 2004, Shilin was recognized as a World Geopark by experts from UNESCO's World Geological Survey. The main landscapes of Shilin include: large and small rock formations, Li Zi Jing Shilin, Zhi Yun Cave, Changhu Lake, and Da Die Shui.

In particular, when you come here you will be able to admire the fascinating rocks that change color with the weather. On rainy days, the rocks will turn from ash gray to dark black. When the rain stops and the sun comes out, within just a minute the rocks will change from black to a mixed color, before gradually returning to ash gray.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain – The white dragon amidst the blue clouds

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain ranks 71st on the list of the world's highest mountains. The entire mountain range has 12 peaks over 5,000 meters, covered in snow year-round. Its highest peak, named Fanzi Dou, reaches 5,596 meters. Beyond the mountain lies the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge, a challenging climb for mountaineers.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is also known as "Satseto" in the Naxi language, meaning "wave of white rocks." This is because its shape resembles the back of a white jade dragon lying and winding amidst the clouds.

From above, you can admire the majestic mountain ranges and river basins. In summer, the melting ice flows downstream through the forests. Nowadays, most tourists use the cable car system to reach Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, making the view from above even more spectacular. Against the backdrop of pristine white snow, towering pine forests rise in a vibrant green. Snowdrop flowers bloom in pure, radiant red. Besides that, it's also an ideal location for winter sports.
