With the theme "Da Lat and flowers", the 2019 Da Lat Flower Festival is held at the end of December (December 20 - December 24) in Da Lat city (Bao Loc, Lam Dong) and some localities in the province.
This is the time when the flower city of Da Lat has the most beautiful weather of the year. The festival is an opportunity for the city to display local vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants, as well as honor flowers from many regions in the country and some other countries to attract tourists to visit, relax and promote economic growth for the city.
This year, the festival includes 12 major programs such as flower space at Xuan Huong Lake, art lighting routes, Vietnamese cultural and artistic exchange, international flower and bonsai exhibition... Notably, Miss World Vietnam 2019 Luong Thuy Linh will be the Ambassador for this year's flower festival.

Regarding the issue of "tour brokers", the People's Committee of Da Lat City affirmed that it will handle it very resolutely by installing many surveillance cameras. When detecting an incident, it will be handed over to the police to handle it according to the law. The People's Committee also hopes that tourists will record images and provide them to the authorities.
Besides, although prices during the flower festival may increase compared to normal, accommodation establishments and other services such as food and beverage must clearly list prices, register with the authorities and notify visitors from the beginning.

Meanwhile, a representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province said that the province has strengthened management, urban beautification, and development of infrastructure and technical facilities for the tourism industry.
The organizers emphasized that negative issues such as touts, accommodation, traffic congestion and sanitation will receive special attention. To minimize traffic jams and parking overload, the organizers have planned additional parking lots outside the center, taking advantage of parking lots of administrative agencies, and regulating traffic at congestion points.
In addition, since the beginning of the year, the city has worked with accommodation establishments to ensure that they meet the needs of tourists and that there are no room shortages. Two groups of young volunteers have also been assigned to Lam Vien Square and Xuan Huong Lake to support visitors. If there are any problems with the quality of tourism, visitors can report them via the hotline or the "Da Lat Online" information reception system.
Negative issues such as touts, accommodation, traffic congestion and hygiene will receive special attention.
The 2019 Da Lat Flower Festival is expected to welcome about 300,000 visitors. After the festival ends, the miniature landscapes will be kept to serve visitors until January 1, 2020.
