Inspired by the "Golden Age" of the Vietnam Water Festival
Each year, Le Méridien Saigon perseveres in its journey of telling new stories about Vietnam through a unique artistic lens in its mooncake collection. In 2025, Le Méridien Saigon begins the story of "A Gift Bearing the Mark of Saigon's Heart" for all its gift product lines. The "heart of Saigon" symbolizes its location right in the city center, and the desire is to always convey the essence of Saigon to customers through its products.
In 2026, Le Méridien Saigon will maintain and develop that spirit, but be bolder, more unpredictable, and more creative – proudly introducing a unique collection – the result of an inspiring collaboration between Le Méridien Saigon and a talented young Vietnamese artist, whose artwork is uniquely and exclusively created.
The "Khoi Hoi Long Giang" mooncake collection display counter is located in the main lobby of Le Méridien Saigon hotel.
Inspired by the Le Trung Hung period – considered the peak in the development of Vietnamese art – the design on the cake box evokes a cultural space deeply rooted in East Asian traditions yet still imbued with a contemporary spirit. The meticulous drawings perfectly depict the vibrant scenes of characteristic riverside festivals: from the graceful dragon dance and the heroic atmosphere of the boat races to the radiant beauty of the lantern processions under the moonlight.
This artwork was created exclusively for the “Long Giang Festival” collection and is owned solely by Le Méridien Saigon.
The Vietnamese spirit of festival-giving - Unwavering amidst the wave of technology.
Amidst the explosive development of technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and the fast-paced urban life, the "Long Giang Festival" is a tribute to cultural values that have always been preserved and passed down. Even as the world constantly changes, the spirit of the festival – the heart that connects the community and the national pride of the Vietnamese people – remains intact and unchanging in the face of the passage of time.
The Golden River premium gift box design is priced at 1,990,000 VND.
A bold move: Mooncake boxes make their way onto the fashion runway.
A surprising highlight of this year's launch event was the bold collaboration between Le Méridien Saigon and the Fashion Design Department of Hoa Sen University. For the first time, a Fashion Showcase featuring three collections by three outstanding students was chosen as the opening act: the "Đi Mần" collection by designer Hannie Đinh, the "Âm vang của sự tĩnh lặng" collection by designer Liêu Huỳnh Minh Thư, and the "Her Loom" collection by designer Đới Thị Ngân Phương.
In an inspiring fusion of contemporary silk dance and fashion, the Le Méridien Saigon mooncake boxes showcased on the catwalk were not just a festive gift, but transformed into a distinctive artistic accessory, a trendy handbag, or a captivating piece of jewelry. This innovative approach demonstrated the brand's leading aesthetic vision: a mooncake box can transcend the journey of a simple gift to become a highly functional work of art.

"We remember last year, many guests shared that they kept the Le Méridien Saigon mooncake box as a miniature home, illuminating a corner of their living room or workspace. From those beautiful memories, this year we asked ourselves: Could a mooncake box become a suitcase shaped like a travel bag, a small chest preserving precious things, or a stylish fashion item? 'Khoi Hoi Long Giang' is the answer. Behind all the changes of the times, the joy of reunion and gifts given with appreciation will always be values that are preserved over the years," shared Mr. Lars Kerfin, representative of the Board of Directors of Le Méridien Saigon Hotel.
