The Lunar New Year holiday schedule for 2020 has been approved.

Accordingly, employees will have Tet holiday from January 23rd to January 29th, 2020, which is from the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Pig to the 5th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Rat.

Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (in document No. 54/TTr-LĐTBXH dated September 18, 2019) regarding holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year) in 2020 for officials, civil servants, public employees and social workers, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has agreed with the Ministry's proposal in the aforementioned document regarding the Lunar New Year holiday.

For the Lunar New Year of the Rat 2020, workers had 7 days off.

In addition, the Prime Minister requested that agencies and units implementing this Lunar New Year holiday schedule pay attention to arranging and organizing working departments appropriately to ensure continuous work and provide good service to organizations and individuals.

Agencies and units that do not observe fixed Saturday and Sunday holidays each week will base their holiday schedules on their specific programs and plans to ensure suitability.

The Prime Minister authorizes the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to announce the implementation of public holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).
