Every Lunar New Year, Nguyen Hue Flower Street in Ho Chi Minh City becomes a cultural hub, attracting thousands of visitors to admire its beauty. This year, with the theme "A Land of Splendor and Prosperity, Celebrating a Peaceful Spring," Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Snake 2025 offers a unique artistic space, harmoniously blending tradition and modernity.
Mr. Lu Duy Tuong (27 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) had the opportunity to stroll along this vibrant flower-lined street and shared his profound feelings about this year's event.

Right from the entrance, visitors are captivated by the impressive pair of mascots, the Golden Snake and the Silver Snake. According to the organizers, these snakes are 42m and 25m long respectively, their bodies winding in three interwoven loops, creating a vibrant and graceful image. Notably, about 70% of the materials used are environmentally friendly, such as pressed bamboo, rattan, and mosquito netting, providing a sense of closeness and comfort for viewers.
Mr. Tuong shared: "This year's Nguyen Hue flower street is quite striking with the graceful Snake mascot in a conical hat and Southern Vietnamese checkered scarf, placed at the end of the flower street, where it intersects with Ton Duc Thang street. And a pair of Golden Snakes and Silver Snakes, their bodies intertwined, are placed at the flower street's entrance gate with a large size, attracting passersby to slow down or stop to admire them."
The impressively winding Kim Ty and Ngan Ty couple statues attract all eyes right from the entrance gate of the flower street.
The charming Snake Goddess mascot, adorned with a conical hat and Southern Vietnamese checkered scarf, creates a special highlight at the end of the flower street.
Compared to previous years, this year's flower street is decorated more solemnly, with gentle colors reflecting historical themes and the spirit of 50 years of national reunification and development. The segments "Unity," "Transformation," and "Development" represent the historical stages of the country, creating an overall picture of development and innovation.
Mr. Tuong commented: "I find that this year's flower street design is not ostentatious with flashy colors or giant mascots stretching from one end of the street to the other. Instead, it's a gentle, dignified, and historically significant design, with small and large-scale scenes divided according to different historical periods of 50 years of national unification and development."
The miniature thatched roof and old house scene recreates the atmosphere of traditional Tet (Lunar New Year), harmoniously combined with other modern details.

Mr. Tuong shared: "I greatly admire the creativity of the artisans in incorporating the Snake mascot into this year's flower street design. Despite their large size, the mascots maintain balanced proportions and high aesthetic appeal. The innovative use of environmentally friendly materials is particularly noteworthy and has earned high marks in the design."
Nguyen Hue Flower Street attracts a large number of locals and tourists who come to visit, take photos, and check in.
After visiting the flower street, Mr. Tuong reflected: "The Year of the Snake 2025 will mark a 50-year milestone in the country's development, with many significant events, changes, and strong transformations in the nation's economic and socio-cultural development. Hopefully, from this milestone, the country will enter a new phase with leaps and breakthroughs."
