Turning the “distant dream” of unrestricted travel into reality
Nicknamed the “Lion Island” because the country’s map is shaped like a lion’s head, Singapore is one of the world’s largest commercial centers, with the position of the fourth largest financial center and one of the five busiest seaports globally.
The “Lion Island” Singapore is continuing to expand the list of countries that can bring tourists to and from Singapore under the “Vaccinated Travel Lane” (VTL).

In a major step forward in the “new normal” despite concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic rising again after the emergence of new Omicron variant infections in several countries, the “Lion City” continues to expand the list of countries that can send tourists to and from Singapore under the “Vaccinated Travel Lane”.
According to Thetravelintern.com, visitors to Singapore will not need to quarantine, as long as they fly under the new VTL arrangements. Visitors departing Singapore can take almost any flight, but will need to return to the Lion City on a designated VTL flight.
Bloomberg reported on November 26 that Singapore's VTL list now includes at least 27 countries: India, Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Maldives (Asia); France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland and the UK (Europe); Turkey (Eurasia); Australia, Fiji (Oceania); the US and Canada (North America); Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) - (Middle East).
On the other hand, most of the countries on Singapore's VTL list have offered quarantine-free travel to visitors from the “Lion Island”.
According to the latest plan, tourists from Thailand can enter Singapore from December 14. Meanwhile, tourists from Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Türkiye can enter Singapore from December 16.
