Known as the "Lion City" because its map resembles the head of a lion, Singapore is one of the world's largest commercial centers, holding the position of the fourth largest financial center and one of the five busiest seaports globally.

In a major step towards the "new normal," despite renewed concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic following the emergence of new Omicron variant infections in several countries, the Lion City continues to expand the list of countries whose citizens can travel to and from Singapore under the "Vaccinated Travel Lane."
According to Thetravelintern.com, travelers arriving in Singapore will not need to quarantine, as long as they fly under the new VTL arrangements. Travelers leaving Singapore can take almost any flight, but must return to the Lion City on a designated VTL flight.
Bloomberg reported on November 26th that Singapore's list of VTL countries now includes at least 27 nations: India, Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Maldives (Asia); France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, and the United Kingdom (Europe); Türkiye (a transcontinental country of Eurasia); Australia and Fiji (Oceania); the United States and Canada (North America); Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) (Middle East).
Conversely, most countries on Singapore's VTL list have offered quarantine-free travel services to visitors from the "Lion City".
According to the latest plan, tourists from Thailand will be able to enter Singapore from December 14th. Meanwhile, tourists from Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Türkiye will be able to enter Singapore from December 16th.

According to one of the promising itineraries for a vibrant, exciting, and energetic 2021 year-end holiday via VTL with Singapore, introduced by author John Tan in the Straits Times recently, travelers can fly via VTL to Singapore and then continue their journey to explore France – one of the destinations dubbed the Christmas paradise in Europe.
