In his opening speech, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh emphasized that this year's Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is a special festival, re-organized after 3 years of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic so that everyone can enjoy memorable moments together by the Han River tonight.
The 2023 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival with the general theme "A world without distance" is expected to be a bridge to help remove all barriers so that everyone can enjoy together the artistic values, cultural beauty, and together strive for the aspiration of peace and prosperity.

With the participation of teams from the UK, Poland, Canada, France, Finland, Australia, Italy and Vietnam, according to the themes of each performance night: "Peace for humanity", "Love without borders", "Conquering dreams", "Dance of nature", DIFF 2023 is a reunion of representatives of countries with long traditions in the art of fireworks performance. All will tell stories together with light, with music, with the sublimation of art and emotions, bringing surprises and unforgettable impressions.
On the opening night, the two teams of Vietnam and Finland opened the fireworks competition with the theme “Peace for Humanity”, painting a vivid picture of friendship, solidarity, peace and happiness; at the same time, taking the audience on a sublime journey of masterpieces of light, music and art.

Along with the fireworks displays between the competing teams, there are accompanying events that are invested in scale and have attractive content that will add color and create new and unique experiences for people and visitors throughout the Festival. From the stage, music to the artistic elements of the program, all highlight the main theme of this year's Festival, leading the audience through each level of emotion, towards the story of solidarity, peace and hope for prosperity after the difficulties of the pandemic.
