The Singapore Airshow is the largest aviation exhibition in Asia and the third largest in the world. This year, despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Singapore Airshow 2020 still attracted participation from 45 countries, 930 companies, and ministers, deputy ministers, and high-ranking officials from many nations.
This program provides numerous opportunities for exchange and business networking between leading global defense companies and potential customers in the region, not only in the civil aviation sector but also in the security and military fields.
The Singapore Airshow 2020 brought together many big names such as ATR, Airbus, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, and ST Engineering…
Leading the Vietnamese delegation at this exhibition is Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defence.
This year's exhibition showcases a wide range of modern and advanced equipment: combat weapons, commercial aircraft, fighter jets, military training aircraft, refueling aircraft, drones, helicopters, maritime patrol aircraft, and more.

However, the most anticipated part of the Singapore Airshow 2020 remains the military aircraft displays, such as Singapore's Apache helicopters and F15SG fighter jets, the US's F22 Raptor and F35B stealth fighters, and especially China's August 1st aerobatic team.
According to photojournalist Ngo Tran Hai An, who attended the exhibition, this year's performance featured five aerobatic teams from three countries: China, the United States, and host country Singapore.

The Singapore Air Force kicked off with two AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters and one F15SG fighter jet. The first display was impressive, with the two AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters flying parallel before separating in an instant, and the F15SG fighter jet flying through between them, creating a surprising breakthrough.

Next came the performances of the two attack helicopters, including aerial acrobatics, rocket launches, and reverse maneuvers. The two helicopters coordinated seamlessly, creating a thrilling spectacle for the viewers. The most outstanding moment was when the F15SG fighter jet used decoy flares to evade anti-aircraft missiles and then launched at very high speed to escape.

The August 1st aerobatic team of the People's Liberation Army Air Force of China also arrived in Singapore on February 5th, completing numerous health checks before officially participating in the exhibition.

The members of the August 1st Flight Crew, with their nine J-10 fighter jets and over 100 technicians, created an impressive and dazzling display in the skies over Singapore.

Another highlight of the 2020 air show is the Changi Exhibition Centre, spanning 40,000 square meters.2This marks the first time a fully solar-powered building has been constructed using thousands of solar panels installed by Sembcorp. The system will provide 7,840 megawatts of electricity per hour, enough to power 1,750 four-bedroom apartments in Singapore for a year.
