The Audi R8 is now available in Vietnam.

With a total of four awards, the Audi R8 has become the most successful model in the history of the World Car Awards. Previously, the predecessor R8 had already won two "World Performance Car Award" and one "World Car Design of the Year Award". Most recently, the second generation of this high-performance sports car from Audi has won, as judged by a panel of 73 leading automotive journalists from around the world. This celebrates the winner – the Audi R8 – both on the racetrack and on the highway.

"With its distinctive design, dynamic driving modes, and excellent traction, the R8 is one of the most powerful representatives of the four-ring brand and a leader in Audi's sports car segment. The first generation of the R8 was a success, solidifying Audi's position in the premium sports car segment and marking a new level. The new R8 will continue this story and will further the growth strategy of the Audi sports car line, an area where we are still learning in Vietnam," said Laurent Genet, General Director of Audi's distributor in Vietnam.

The Audi R8 Coupé boasts greater performance than any other model in Audi's product line. Its mid-mounted V10 engine and the all-new quattro all-wheel drive system deliver incredible power, producing 610 horsepower (449 kW), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 330 km/h. The high-revving engine, lightweight construction, and highly dynamic suspension system, combined with the quattro all-wheel drive and dynamic torque vectoring, all make the R8 Coupé a true supercar.

The Audi R8's characteristics are derived from a wealth of experience gained from racing victories: the sports prototypes have won the Le Mans 24h race 13 times since 2000, and the R8 LMS has won the Le Mans race 7 times since 2009.

Before heading to the "Audi Progressive" event in Hanoi, the Audi R8 Coupé is currently at its first stop, the Audi showroom in Ho Chi Minh City. Audi R8 enthusiasts are welcome to discover the "2016 World Performance Car" this May.

The Audi R8 Coupé will then be displayed at the indoor sports area of Quan Ngua Stadium in Hanoi for the first-ever Audi Progressive event in Vietnam, held from June 9th to 12th, 2016, showcasing all of Audi's latest models. The Audi Progressive theme will be reflected in all the Audi models on display, along with impressive performances combining dynamism, cutting-edge technology, sound, and light. The highlight of the event will be the launch of the newest Audi models in Vietnam. Brands partnering with Audi Vietnam, sharing their premium and innovative values, have also confirmed their participation in the Audi Progressive event and are actively collaborating to deliver exciting experiences; details will be announced soon.

The first day of the event (June 9th) will be reserved for the press and special Audi customers. From June 10th to 12th, the “Audi Progressive” event will officially open to the public. Five demonstration sessions will take place daily at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM.
