If you plan early, you can book a round-trip flight from Vietnam to Maldives for about 400 USD (8 million VND)/person. The popular route transits in Bangkok (Thailand). The two airlines that many people choose are Air Asia and Sri Lanka Airlines.
Regarding accommodation, if you can spend around 100-150 USD (2-3 million VND) for a night, you should look for 3-star resorts, 150-300 USD (3-6 million VND) for 4-star resorts and more money for 5-star rated places. You can book rooms at cheaper prices during the low season, from April to September every year. On the contrary, during the peak season, room rates can increase 2-3 times, and on holidays, Maldives is often fully booked.
At resorts, the most popular type of honeymoon accommodation is a beach villa, just a few steps away and overlooking the sea. This is a good choice, but not perfect. If the resort you are planning to book a room in has water villas, try one to feel the difference from the rooms you have stayed in before.

You’ll find that bungalows located right on the water offer the ultimate romantic honeymoon experience, especially if they have elevators that go straight down to the sea. The earlier you book, the better your chances of getting a great deal.

Through the images online, you can check out the resort you are planning to book, see if there is a nice beach, clean water, coral reefs nearby, and maybe check out the nearby islands. More importantly, choose a resort near a sandy beach. Continue looking at images every week, until you feel this is the island you want to go to. Most importantly, look for images of previous travelers, instead of just looking for images of the hotel owners themselves.
Eat and drink
Food culture is not a strong point here. The dishes are mostly Indian in style, so they are not suitable for many people and most of them are included in the resort's service package. However, seafood, especially octopus, is worth a try. Besides, sipping fish & chips while sunbathing on the beach is also a great enjoyment.
