Diversity of products and terrain

As an annual activity of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam, MBDA has become familiar to many domestic customers after more than 12 years of organization. MBDA is not only a place for drivers to improve their safe driving skills, but also an opportunity for customers to test drive new products and find interesting experiences through exercises.

In order to meet the diverse experience needs of customers, MBV will design the content of MBDA 2016 on both on-road and off-road terrain, with a test drive and display fleet of up to 30 vehicles. In addition to sedan products from A-Class to S-Class, MBDA 2016 also brings SUV models that are of interest to customers such as Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 AMG, GLC 250 4MATIC, GLC 300 4MATIC, GLE 400 4MATIC. The diversity of products and terrain also helps customers easily feel the effectiveness of technologies such as DYNAMIC SELECT, 4MATIC or 9G-TRONIC.

Not only caring for the drivers, MBDA also organizes many interesting activities for the whole family such as a children's play area, a free ice cream cabinet or a simulated camping area with a V 220 d family car and Mercedes-Benz bicycles. In particular, the 10 best drivers of MBDA 2016 will be sponsored by MBV to participate in the global Mercedes-AMG Driving Performance Training Course taking place in 2017.

Applying safety technology to the racetrack

The racetrack is where the car's performance is pushed to its highest limit. Drivers will clearly see the value of the safety features on Mercedes-Benz cars when timely intervention in a split second will minimize and limit dangerous situations. With simulation exercises designed by coaches with extensive experience in professional racing, drivers will experience Mercedes-Benz safety technologies on the racetrack, thereby applying them to real traffic situations.

The main contents of the course include: 1. Braking and sudden changes of direction at high speed (ABS/BAS system perception); 2. Lane changing skills on slippery surfaces (ESP & Pre-Safe system perception); 3. Introduction to the COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS (CPA Plus) collision prevention assistance system with automatic deceleration assistance function.

Mr. Choi Duk Jun, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Passenger Cars, shared: “The Mercedes-Benz Safe Driving Academy will train drivers with the necessary skills and reflexes in dangerous situations that they rarely experience in real life.”

In addition, drivers will be trained in high-speed cornering skills on Mercedes-AMG products with guidance from Instructors - professional racers. Drivers with the best techniques will be selected to participate in the timed race on the Mercedes-AMG A 45 4MATIC and Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC models. Not only useful in off-road exercises, the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system also increases grip on the track, distributing traction effectively without increasing the weight too much like other 4-wheel drive systems.

With a duration of 1 day longer than every year, MBDA 2016 is expected to train and grant certificates to more than 600 guests in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.

After 12 years of establishment and development in Vietnam, the Mercedes-Benz Safe Driving Academy has trained and certified more than 4,000 customers nationwide. With the supervision of international sports car experts and safety technologies integrated into Mercedes-Benz cars, all of the above customers have completed the course safely, completely and without any unfortunate incidents.
