Michelin has announced that Da Nang is the next city to be added to the MICHELIN Guide's list of culinary destinations. This is the third city in Vietnam to be evaluated by the MICHELIN Guide's team of assessors in Vietnam, following Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, which were announced last year.

Following a promising launch earlier this year in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang’s joining the MICHELIN Guide family is a testament to the vibrancy and quality of Vietnamese cuisine, with its rich history and distinctive regional flavors. Our anonymous reviewers have begun their evaluation process, and we are proud to announce our selection of dining establishments for discerning Vietnamese diners, travelers, and international food enthusiasts this coming June.”

As a globally recognized and renowned tourist destination, Da Nang is a "paradise" for food lovers. This culinary hub, representing the essence of Central Vietnam's culture, deeply impressed the anonymous MICHELIN Guide reviewers with its excellent food quality and rich culinary heritage – from the famous Quang noodles, fish cake noodle soup, and savory pancakes, to countless fresh seafood dishes in restaurants and unique street food stalls that are not to be missed. The reviewers thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the roadside and savoring culinary gems, such as a bowl of duck porridge.
Besides familiar local specialties and street food stalls, Da Nang also offers diners a captivating and diverse high-end culinary scene, showcasing the cooking techniques of local master chefs – who are adept at creating dishes with regional specialties – and international chefs who, having fallen in love with the city, have brought the culinary essence of their respective countries here.

Similar to previous destinations, the MICHELIN Guide will evaluate restaurants in Da Nang using a long-standing and globally consistent evaluation methodology. Specifically, restaurants and delicious dishes are assessed by MICHELIN Guide's anonymous team of reviewers in Vietnam based on five globally consistent criteria, all focusing on food quality:
- The quality of the materials used
- Culinary skills
- Flavor harmony
- A chef's personality is reflected in their dishes.
- Consistency of dishes over time and across the entire menu.
The MICHELIN Guide will evaluate restaurants in Da Nang using a long-standing and globally standardized evaluation methodology.
The list of restaurants in the MICHELIN Guide Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang 2024 will be announced at a special event in June 2024.
