On October 30, the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City and Ben Tre province held a conference on tourism cooperation and developed a plan to welcome inter-provincial visitors. The two localities agreed on safety criteria when traveling, the process of welcoming visitors, and the way of circulation for tourism businesses and visitors... and will post full information and widely communicate it to tourists as soon as possible.
The Department of Tourism of the two localities will coordinate with the Department of Transport to survey, evaluate and develop waterway tourism routes. The first is the Can Gio - Ben Tre route with the theme "Symphony of Natural Colors", lasting 3 days and 2 nights.
Ben Tre is a locality with potential and strengths in developing tourism associated with culture - history, eco-tourism, community tourism, and craft villages associated with typical products from coconut trees.

From Ho Chi Minh City, it takes tourists 1.5-2 hours to reach the land of coconuts. In 2019, Ben Tre was the second most visited locality in the country, accounting for 40% of international visitors and 11% of domestic tourists in the Eastern Mekong Delta.
In addition, inter-regional and inter-route products, and additional connection programs between the Southeast - Ho Chi Minh City - Ben Tre are also being built to diversify products and stimulate tourists' travel and entertainment needs after a long period of social distancing.

Besides Ben Tre, Long An has also restarted tourism activities with inter-provincial tours with Ho Chi Minh City in November. Currently, Ho Chi Minh City tourists can take a 3-day 2-night, 2-day 1-night or day tour to Long An. The destinations are eco-tourism areas in Ho Chi Minh City and Long An such as: Green Farm, Cu Chi Tunnels, Endless Fields Tourist Area, Primitive Melaleuca Forest, medicinal plant growing area; experience "forest bathing" therapy...
