For Thu Ha, also known as Ha Moc, the first trip to Moc Chau left a deep impression on her, from the natural scenery to the daily cultural stories. When asked about the reason for choosing Moc Chau for this trip, Ha did not hesitate: "I have never been to Moc Chau. Before the trip, I imagined this as a miniature Da Lat with strawberry farms, sweet fruit gardens and lovely cafes. But the Moc Chau that I found was completely different. It is not only beautiful but also full of cultural flavor, like a vivid picture of the people and nature here".

Not just a tourist paradise, but also an encounter with everyday stories
Contrary to her pre-trip predictions, the experiences Thu Ha had were not only the idyllic landscapes but also the profound stories from the local people. One of the highlights of the journey was that she had the opportunity to meet the homestay owner where she stayed, and from there, stories about Moc Chau seemed to be opened up through the stories of the local people.

Cozy space at homestay
"The homestay owner told me about the traditional Mong paper making workshop, about the meticulous steps to create each sheet of paper. They also shared about the lives of the indigenous people, about how they preserve their ethnic culture through every small detail. The scenery may flash before my eyes and I may not remember everything in 3 days, but such deep and intimate memories make me unforgettable and may become the reason for me to return to Moc Chau again", Ha emotionally shared.
A journey through majestic nature
During the journey in Moc Chau, one of the places that left the deepest impression on Thu Ha was the primitive Mong village - Hang Tau. This is not a new destination, but its rustic and pristine beauty made Ha feel difficult to describe in words. Hang Tau is like another world, where there is no phone signal, surrounded by only mountains and fresh air. The population is sparse, with few tourists, creating a rare peaceful space.
"This is truly a place to 'hide', to temporarily put aside all the daily hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in nature," Ha confided.

The moment that Ha will always remember is when the sunset falls on the road leading to Hang Tau. From the rock welcoming Ta So, she watched the sun gradually disappear behind the mountain, the pale yellow light blending with the hazy mist. The national flag fluttering in the afternoon wind like a symbol of pride, evoking in her love and deep connection with her homeland. "Ta So not only covered the golden sunset but also covered my heart with a feeling of pride and emotion before that beautiful natural scenery," she shared.

Unique experience: Making Do paper with the Mong people
During the trip to Moc Chau, Thu Ha also participated in a traditional paper making workshop in Hua Tat village. This is an uncommon activity, little known to tourists, but it is this difference that creates an unforgettable attraction. The workshop was held at the home of a local Mong person, with a traditional space creating a unique and authentic experience.

Not only stopping at participating in the stages such as pounding the paper pulp, decorating the frame or pouring the pulp into the mold, Ha also heard stories about the culture, beliefs and life of the Mong people. "Every step of making paper is an art, from preparing the materials to the meticulousness in each production stage," she said. The final product is a piece of Do paper decorated with delicate flowers and grasses, which is not only a souvenir, but also a memento marking meaningful memories of the trip.
Travel economically but fully
With many years of experience in independent travel, Thu Ha always has the secrets to help save money and still have a complete trip. She said that careful preparation is the most important factor: "Always make detailed plans in advance, from choosing homestays, bus companies to tourist attractions. Spending time surveying homestays, comparing prices and quality will help you find reasonable accommodation without spending too much."
Besides, Ha also advises tourists to choose the right time to travel, such as the canola flower season, strawberry season or corn blooming season to fully enjoy the beauty of nature and unique culture here.
