If, until now, you've only thought of Moc Chau's famous apricots and plums, then stepping into The November homestay will allow you to see firsthand the nomadic tents and rustic pine-shell houses nestled in the forests of Northwest Vietnam.
With its rustic wooden design, The November offers a European-style space that harmonizes with and is close to nature.
A nomadic tent in the forest of Moc Chau
Ms. Hoang Thuy Duong, owner of The November, shared: “My husband and I are the same age, we met each other, and we were both born in November, so we named the homestay The November. The 11 rooms are also named after the 11 months of the year, each with its own unique style. The inspiration for this model came from my dream of going to Mongolia to experience nomadic tents or to Europe to stay in a dreamy wooden cabin in the forest. Looking back at our entrepreneurial journey six years ago, when Moc Chau was still pristine and had few homestays, that motivated us to try our hand at it and develop to where we are today. Although we didn't study anything related to design or tourism, our passion and inspiring souls led us to build this model.”

The November spans over 700 square meters and features 11 rooms, each named after one of the 11 months of the year.
The November homestay is located in sub-district 34, Dong Sang, Moc Chau, Son La. Each room is named after one of the eleven months of the year, creating a unique and memorable experience for guests.
The November offers four room types: Tent, Family, Double Bed, and Connecting. Tent and Double Bed rooms accommodate two people; Family and Connecting rooms can accommodate four. Connecting, Double Bed, and Family rooms are designed with rustic pine wood and fully equipped. The Tent room features a unique combination of canvas and pine wood, creating a close connection with nature.
The November offers four room types: tent, family, double bed, and connecting. The double rooms are available in tent and double (wooden cabin) categories.
Inside, each room is simply decorated with a mix of wood and brocade fabrics.
The room isn't very spacious, but it's carefully decorated and fully equipped, giving travelers a familiar and relaxing feeling like being at home.
The tent house is inspired by Mongolian nomadic tents.
Each room has a European style and is primarily made of wood. The exterior of each room is clad in solid wood. Inside, each room is simply decorated with a mix of wood and brocade fabrics. The design colors are also warm tones, creating a cozy feeling that dispels fatigue. In addition, the homestay also has some rooms with tent-like roofs in a Bohemian style. The rooms are not overly spacious but are carefully designed and fully equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, comfortable beds, hot and cold water, etc., giving travelers a familiar and relaxing feeling like being at home.
The highlight of The November's wooden house is that it's not polished smooth, but retains its rough, unpolished pine bark. This unpolished pine wood helps to cool the house in the summer and provides warmth in the winter. The homestay grounds are filled with loquat, apricot, and plum trees in bloom and bearing fruit… all creating a picturesque scene that blends seamlessly into the lush green nature of Moc Chau's mountains and forests.
From the walls to the beds and chairs, each room is filled with the aroma of wood, creating a comfortable feeling for guests.
Besides accommodation, visitors to The November can enjoy the cuisine of the Northwest region. From here, you can also easily access famous tourist destinations in Moc Chau such as: Ban Ang pine forest, Ta Phinh lake, Dai Yem waterfall, Moc Chau tea village…
The rooms are meticulously arranged and the grounds are thoughtfully designed, offering more than just a relaxing getaway and the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air; you can also capture unforgettable moments at this homestay.

The highlight of The November's small wooden rooms is that they are not sanded smooth, but still retain the rough, textured bark of the pine wood.
In the evenings, The November often hosts BBQ parties with incredibly delicious dishes, including some of Moc Chau's specialties. In the evening, visitors can sit outdoors and enjoy grilled meats while sipping on some apple wine – a truly unforgettable experience during your Moc Chau trip.
“November represents youth, love, and effort. November represents freedom and happiness. Looking at the bare, moss-covered apricot branches next to the rustic wooden house with its rough pine bark, and a few simple, off-white canvas tents against the golden-yellow pine wood, I am grateful for that November, which, after overcoming so many anxieties and worries, now makes me happy because I dared to do and pursue my youthful dreams,” the homeowner confided.
