The climate here is cool all year round and not too far from Hanoi. Once by chance, I went to Moc Chau to play and was attracted by the beauty of this land, so I decided to build A Lam, both to give my family a relaxing weekend home and to help people in the village develop tourism.”
Van Ho in Son La province is known as a land of many majestic natural landscapes and colorful grasslands. The climate here is cool, fresh, and has many unique cultural features imbued with national identity.

A Lam Boutique Stay has 3 room types: Bohemian room has the largest view, with a panoramic view of the vast mountains and forests outside; Rustic room with wooden ceiling structure and stilt house room.
The architecture is based on the ancient stilt house and then modernized. The style impresses visitors with its Moroccan interior design. When visitors come here, they feel at home with the comfortable atmosphere of a spacious house.
Inside the bedroom
“The most popular style at A Lam Boutique Stay is Moroccan: rustic and sophisticated. The interior uses many items from ethnic groups from many generations ago such as: large wooden trays, a collection of Dao drums, rice mortars, horse troughs... she places them in the position of 'aesthetic' decor to create a warm, intimate and unique atmosphere. Each corner decorated like this will enhance the value of the people, both new but still preserving the culture", Ms. Minh said.
According to Ms. Minh, construction in the mountains is very hard, building a house here is also much more difficult than in the plains in terms of cost, time, effort... On the contrary, people here live emotionally, share and support enthusiastically.

The homeowner collects many antiques for decoration to create a warm, intimate and unique atmosphere.
“Using the old stilt house to renovate the new house makes everything more modern instead of building a brick house. Keeping that model and identity while still enjoying the value in the story. Developing yourself as well as promoting community tourism creates an old but new style”, Ms. Minh said.
In Van Ho, the scenery is very poetic. When visitors come here, they will enjoy the peace, the open space, the beauty starting from the branches of the trees and the grass. Coming to A Lam, visitors can also experience the market just a few steps away on Saturday evenings. There will be cultural activities of the people with bustling music and dance. In addition, visitors can also enjoy regional specialties and indigenous culture.
“The cuisine at A Lam is prepared by the local people. Tourists will enjoy the cultural dishes of the highlands. A meaningful trip, whether short or long, should enjoy local products,” said Ms. Minh.
