All flights to Australia utilize the modern wide-body Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The highlight of this aircraft is its superior comfort, featuring spacious interiors, higher cabin humidity and pressure, larger windows, and more comfortable reclining seats.
In 2019, Australia was Vietnam's 12th largest aviation market, with a total passenger volume of nearly 900,000, of which Vietnam Airlines transported over 400,000. In 2022, while some regions around the world had not yet fully recovered, the number of passengers traveling to and from Australia rose to 8th place among Vietnam's largest markets. With its impressive recovery rate, Australia is currently ranked 4th among Vietnam Airlines' most important markets. The airline is actively researching increasing flight frequencies and opening new routes to further develop its flight product range between Vietnam and Australia in the near future.

According to the General Statistics Office, in the first four months of 2023, more than 130,000 Australian tourists visited Vietnam, making it one of the leading important markets for the tourism industry. Vietnam Airlines' opening of new direct flights between the two countries will contribute to attracting even more Australian tourists to Vietnam in the future.
