Both mysterious and seductive, four new Carbon TPT® versions set with diamonds and studs in red gold enrich the RM 07-01 women's collection. “It all started with a vision of stars bursting into the depths of darkness,” explains Cecile Guenat, Creative and Development Director of the brand. “We wanted to rethink the approach to gem-setting as a way to bring elements together in a powerful way.”
Each version asserts its own unique character. The RM 07-01 Dark Night heralds the arrival of countless constellations, represented by the sparkle of gold prongs. Diamonds shine and catch the eye on the RM 07-01 Starry Night, with its Carbon TPT® bracelet, and on the RM 07-01 Bright Night, with its micro-sandblasted 5N red gold case. Finally, the warm sparkle of the sky on the RM 07-01 Misty Night, adorned with 5N red gold pillars.

In this collection, diamonds and Carbon TPT® complement each other to highlight their unique properties, achieving a true symbiosis between shadow and light. These settings-related characteristics attest to Richard Mille’s expertise in handling Carbon TPT®. Unlike gold, which allows the artisan to shape the prongs used to fix diamonds with conventional tools, the hardness of Carbon TPT® forces the hands of professional artisans to give way to precision tools equipped with diamond drills for setting.
Diamonds and 5N red gold prongs are polished and hand-set into the different diameter slots. “Using studs as decorative elements is an aesthetic approach that significantly accentuates the explosion of light,” adds Cecile Guenat. Like the middle layers of the watch, the dials and different types of setting are developed throughout the collection.
All four models are powered by the in-house CRMA2 calibre, an automatic skeletonised movement made of grade 5 titanium with hours, minutes and a variable geometry rotor. Carbon TPT® – a lightweight and durable technical material whose velvety appearance accentuates its warm and pleasant feeling both to the touch and to the wear – ensures optimum protection for the movement. At the same time, it also creates a distinctive look for each version, thanks to the variety of setting effects and wave designs that make each watch unique.
