The return of the Monsoon International Music Festival.

After five seasons, the Monsoon Music Festival, with the continued support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People's Committee, and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, will return to the capital city this coming October.

Accordingly, the Monsoon Music Festival has been recognized as one of the outstanding projects in international collaboration in the field of music, and has also received the love of a large audience.

With its mission to be a new source of inspiration in the creative cultural industry, Monsoon Music Festival 2023 is also considered a cultural event of the Capital City. Through this, Monsoon Music Festival will develop a city festival model that is appearing for the first time in Vietnam.

The spectacular return of this year's Monsoon Music Festival will bring new inspiration to the creative team, providing a space for Vietnamese and international artists to create a festive atmosphere for the community, and establishing a cultural brand for Hanoi, a "Creative City" within the UNESCO Creative Cities network.

According to musician Quoc Trung, the Monsoon Music Festival 2023 will have a new organizational model - a city festival model taking place over 10 days, from October 14th to 22nd. The festival is expected to have approximately 70 performances with the participation of more than 40 artists/bands from Vietnam and abroad.

The Monsoon Music Festival 2023 also adopted the theme "Music Street" - inspired by the names of Hanoi's 36 streets and wards.

“We will bring music to every corner of Hanoi with various spaces, maximizing the cultural and artistic enjoyment needs of the community. Through the city festival model, Monsoon Music Festival will introduce audiences to diverse types of stage performances. The festival will spread the atmosphere of music so that the public and tourists can feel the vibrant breath of Hanoi as well as the beauty of its 36 streets,” said musician Quoc Trung.

With the impressive return of Monsoon Music Festival in October 2023, the activities of Monsoon Music Festival 2023 include:

- The opening ceremony will take place at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square on October 14th.

- The "Music Street" week will take place at more than 10 locations in Hanoi's Old Quarter and areas in the central Hoan Kiem district from October 15th to 20th.

- The Monsoon Music Festival 2023 will conclude with the Thang Long Citadel Festival at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Historical Site on October 21st and 22nd.

- The Monsoon Music Festival 2023 also organized a thematic workshop on the music and cultural industries from October 20th to 21st.
