Summer 2020 is a long series of holidays but there is no "travel". What characterizes this summer is a slow way of life, leisurely days lying in the room, watching the curtains sway in the wind, filled with yellow sunlight, boldly reflecting the shadows of the treetops.
As each season passes, the scenery and light change, and the colors and shapes of the shadows change as well. In the summer, the sunlight is stronger, the sky is bluer, and the leaves are more lush. The sunlight of the summer is also different from the weak, pale rays of light in the winter. The scenery that sprouts and grows in the summer is far different from the desolation and isolation of the branches of trees that are shedding their leaves in the winter. And there are shadows that only appear in the summer.

This is the inspiration for the sun-loving, color-sensitive woman Silvia Venturini Fendi to come up with a new definition of the color of summer:shades of shadowsTo express the difference in scenery and light through each season, Silvia Venturini Fendi kept the same setup of the Fall Winter 2020 show, but instead of pink and cold white light, Silvia also used white tones and yellow lights with the same brightness range as the summer sunlight.

Not only the light on the catwalk, the summer shadows, a concept that cannot be defined by a color, have also been meticulously cared for by Silvia. Not showing the shades of black, or the transition of color by adding white as people think, Fendi's shadow colors contain both the yellow sunlight and the harshness of red. Mixing the color of summer, conveying the lightness and darkness, and the uniqueness of the shadows is enough for people to know how advanced Fendi's dyeing technique is.

The Spring 2021 collection does not need to be expressed in elaborate colors or confusing patterns like the Fendi motifs. Instead, Silvia Venturini Fendi offers a smooth, simple but perfect base to put on it the extremely unique shades of summer.

In addition to shading, Silvia Venturini Fendi also uses different techniques to create new clothes with a faded effect that looks like they have been dried in the hot, rainy summer weather.
