As someone who loves the ancient charm and cultural beauty of Vietnam, Hoang Hieu (24 years old, from Nam Dinh) spent time researching and decided to visit Viet Phu Thanh Chuong - a place that preserves the legacy of our ancestors from ancient times.
Viet Phu Thanh Chuong is located in the area of Keo Ca Lake, Hien Ninh commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi, about 30 km from the city center. It offers visitors a tranquil escape from the peaceful Vietnamese countryside of the 1990s. It seems that visiting here allows tourists to relive their childhood, finding a peaceful place to forget the worries and stresses of life.

The architecture bears a strong nostalgic imprint.
Viet Phu Thanh Chuong, built starting in 2001, originated from the idea of artist Thanh Chuong, the son of writer Kim Lan. Artist Thanh Chuong collected cultural and historical elements from the Dinh, Ly, Tran, and Le dynasties, and this Viet Phu is the work he wanted to use to honor the beauty of traditional architecture. It took three years to complete, with each stone slab and roof tile carrying its own meaning and value.
Spanning over 8,000 hectares, this site is considered a magnificent architectural masterpiece reflecting the unique characteristics of Vietnam. Viet Phu Thanh Chuong boasts 30 historical architectural structures from the previous century. Visitors can admire the beauty of 13 ancient houses with special names such as Tuong Van Pavilion, Thanh Tinh House, Huong Gate, Mac Huong House, Xuan Phong Inn, etc.

Viet Phu not only evokes memories of historical origins but also embodies the simple, tranquil beauty of the ancient Vietnamese people. It brings together all the related smaller architectural structures such as towers, chessboards, lotus ponds, theaters, art galleries, etc.
Further inside are a 200-year-old thatched-roof house of the Muong ethnic group, a 300-year-old Hue imperial house, or a traditional ironwood house typical of the Northern Delta. Particularly noteworthy is the thatched-roof house, steeped in the glorious history of Vietnam from North to South, which captivates visitors from the very first moment.

According to Hoang Hieu, upon arriving, he felt as if he had stepped into a green space, surrounded by lush trees that provided a very pleasant atmosphere. You can find small lotus ponds hidden among the surrounding bushes, or the clear blue lake with glimpses of fish and pink lotus blossoms emitting a fragrant aroma.
“What impressed me most was the lotus pond with schools of goldfish; watching the fish swim brought an unusual sense of peace to my soul. The most memorable experience was probably strolling around the Vietnamese estate; it healed my spirit, and time seemed to slow down, a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city,” Hoàng Hiếu shared.

Located within the grounds of Viet Phu Thanh Chuong is a restaurant offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Diners can enjoy meticulously prepared traditional dishes in a restaurant decorated in warm, classic tones. After relaxing and dining, you can purchase some souvenir handicrafts or visit the Long Dinh Theater to enjoy water puppet shows staged by skilled artisans.
