Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a document to the People's Committee of Dak Nong province regarding the addition of the Ede longhouse to the Dray Sap Waterfall tourist and scenic area in Dak Nong province.

Dray Sap Waterfall, also known as Chong Waterfall, located in Krong No District, was classified as a national scenic spot in 1991. The Dray Sap Waterfall eco-tourism area covers approximately 1,500 hectares and is currently undergoing construction to add an Ede longhouse (construction area of 240.16 m2) within the protected area II.

The longhouse is a cultural symbol of the Ede people, one of the 40 ethnic minority groups living in Dak Nong. The longhouse has a unique structure: a low floor, and a body ranging from 15 to over 100 meters in length, extended whenever a female member of the family gets married. Therefore, the house is also considered a testament to the remaining matriarchal system in Vietnam.

Once completed, the Longhouse in the Dray Sap ecological zone will be the venue for several local festivals, contributing to the development of tourism in Dak Nong province, linked to the preservation of cultural heritage and traditional festivals.
