Visiting Saigon at this time of year, tourists not only enjoy the emotional end-of-year festivities but also immerse themselves in the dazzling Christmas atmosphere at Notre Dame Cathedral. The magnificent beauty of the cathedral, resembling a grand palace, amazes and delights both locals and tourists.
This year, Notre Dame Cathedral has been decorated with 500,000 square meters of LED lights, a sixfold increase from last year's 80,000 square meters, covering the entire cathedral and surrounding grounds. The cathedral will be illuminated from 5:30 PM to midnight and again from 4:30 AM to 6:00 AM the following morning, creating a dazzling and warm atmosphere in the heart of Saigon.
Photographer Vu Khoa, who took the photos, shared: "On Christmas Eve, photographing Notre Dame Cathedral from above was truly vibrant. Tourists from all over flocked to admire the magical beauty of the building, to the point that many people on the road had to stop their cars to gaze and take pictures. The light from hundreds of thousands of LED lights reflected on the stone walls, creating a dazzling space."

Notre Dame Cathedral is a famous religious symbol in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting a large number of locals and domestic and international tourists. The major restoration project of Notre Dame Cathedral began on July 1, 2017, and was undertaken by the Monument Group (Belgium). The restoration costs were covered by the Archdiocese of Saigon, with support from parishioners in Vietnam and overseas Vietnamese communities, helping to preserve the cathedral's beauty and historical value over the centuries.
