24/12/2018

Christmas Eve 2018 is just around the corner, and decorations are complete around the world, ready to welcome the holy night. The White House is no exception. This is the second Christmas for President Donald J. Trump's family here. Let's take a tour of the White House and discover how it celebrates Christmas!

This year's Christmas decorations at the White House are themed "Treasures of America," celebrating the unique heritage of the United States. Continuing the tradition of previous years, 105 ivy wreaths are hung in each window. In addition, 40 Christmas trees adorned with string of pearls are arranged along the East Corridor of the White House. The house symbolizes the wonderful things found throughout the nation.

The magnificent White House was decorated according to the vision of First Lady Melania Trump and was created by 225 volunteers from all 50 states across the United States. Melania Trump shared: “This is a happy time of year, when we decorate the White House for Christmas. Our theme celebrates the heart and spirit of the American people. Thank you to the many volunteers and staff who worked so hard to decorate our home for Christmas. On behalf of my family, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
