Tan Lap Floating Village (Long An)
The first prominent name on the list of picnic spots near Saigon for the April 30th holiday that you can consider is Tan Lap Floating Village. This is one of the famous tourist destinations in Long An that almost every visitor to this riverine region wants to visit.

This eco-tourism area is located in Tan Lap commune, Long An province, and is only about 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City, so you can easily get there by motorbike, bus, or coach. Upon arrival, you'll feel immersed in the peaceful natural environment of rivers and waterways, a characteristic feature of Southern Vietnam.

You can visit the floating village at any time of year because it is covered in lush green forests all year round. However, the ideal time to visit is during the flood season, from around August to October.

At that time, the ecosystem here is thriving, and it's also the season when the flowers are in full bloom, making the atmosphere even more enchanting. And another thing to remember is that when you visit the floating village, don't miss the Long An specialties such as crispy fried elephant ear fish, sour fish soup, and pineapple-braised ribs... simple yet surprisingly delicious.
Mount Chua Chan (Dong Nai)
While not as famous as Ba Den Mountain, Chua Chan Mountain remains a popular destination for young adventure enthusiasts in Southern Vietnam. Chua Chan Mountain boasts incredibly rich vegetation and offers stunning panoramic views from above.

The route to conquer the mountain isn't long, but it has many treacherous sections, so you'll need a considerable amount of time and effort to climb to the summit. However, once you reach the top, you'll feel that all that effort was worthwhile.

Let's camp overnight here, then light a campfire, have a small barbecue, and chat and sing all night long. In the morning, let's chase the clouds and admire the breathtakingly beautiful, hazy scenery.

However, it's worth noting that you should go with experienced people so that if you encounter any problems during the climb, they can provide better support and handle them. In addition, don't forget to prepare essential climbing equipment such as shoes, water, raincoats, warm clothing… and most importantly, good health to ensure the trip is as enjoyable as possible.
Dau Tieng Lake (Binh Duong)

The ideal time to go camping at Dau Tieng Lake is from December to April, when it rains less and the air is cool. However, be sure to bring extra food such as bread, fruit, sausages, grilled meat, etc., to have small BBQ parties or use for breakfast.
