Old brick kiln in Quang Nam
When it comes to Quang Nam tourism, people often think of Hoi An ancient town or Cu Lao Xanh. However, in Quang Nam, there is a check-in spot that is both rustic and reminiscent of the workChi Pheo, that is an old brick kiln only about 5 km from the center of the old town, in Vinh Nam village, Duy Vinh commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province. Previously, this place was an abandoned brick kiln located on a small branch of the Thu Bon river, surrounded by vast green rice fields.

For nearly 20 years, the brick kiln has been lying wild in the middle of the rice fields, and it is also old and damaged over time. Therefore, there was a time when tourists were forbidden to take photos to avoid unfortunate accidents. However, recently, the brick kiln has been repaired and combined with a farm tourism model, attracting many tourists because this place reminds them of the work Chi Pheo by writer Nam Cao. In which, the brick kiln is where Chi was abandoned and then entered a life full of tragedy.

The brick kiln in Quang Nam now has a new look, no longer dilapidated and ruined as before. The brick kiln has been restored but still retains its old beauty, looking like a box with a curved arched entrance. Around the brick kiln are steps, one after another, running around the body of the kiln to the top. You can follow these steps to go up, overlooking the panoramic view of the blue sky and earth, surrounded by green rice fields and a beautiful peaceful branch of the Thu Bon River. From the brick kiln, there is a small bamboo bridge connecting to a cafe in the middle of the rice fields called Old Brick Kiln, where you can spend time enjoying a drink and immersing yourself in the peaceful countryside picture.

Coming here, you can take photos at any angle you like, standing on the bamboo bridge, standing under the brick kiln or climbing the stairs to admire the scenery. Dawn is the most suitable time to take beautiful photos, with clear blue sky, cool air, not too hot sun. In addition, the moment of sunset with golden rays of sunlight spreading across the rice fields also creates a contemplative beauty for the scenery around the old brick kiln.
