Hung Kings Commemoration Day – Hung Temple Festival

The Hung Kings Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival 2018 will be held from April 21st to 25th, 2018 (6th to 10th day of the 3rd lunar month), with the participation of four provinces: Thai Nguyen, Quang Nam, Binh Duong, and Kien Giang. This event aims to educate about patriotic traditions, express deep gratitude to the Hung Kings and ancestors who contributed to nation-building and defense, and honor the value of two heritage sites: "The Hung Kings Worship Belief in Phu Tho" and "Phu Tho Xoan Singing," which are representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. During the festival, visitors can enjoy delicious food, play folk games, and most notably, watch Xoan singing performances by the local people.

10th Hue Festival

The 10th Hue Festival was held from April 27th to May 2nd. The opening ceremony took place at 8 PM on April 27th at Ngo Mon Square. This was a recreated community festival program with a large space, contributing to reviving the traditional cultural values ​​of the imperial city.

The theme of the 2018 festival was "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development - Hue: One Destination, Five Heritages". Participating in the festival, visitors had the opportunity to experience unique artistic and cultural activities such as the International Food Festival, the Colorful Cultural Street Festival, the Trinh Cong Son Music Night, the Ao Dai Festival, and exquisite traditional music performances… In addition, there were activities such as kite flying, poetry recitation, human chess, and boat racing.

Also on this occasion, the pedestrian street was illuminated with a light show from 1,000 LED lights and a cannon firing display at the monument.

Ha Long Carnival

The opening ceremony and program of the Ha Long Carnival, themed “Ha Long – Heritage, Wonder – Friendly Destination,” taking place on April 28th, is a highlight of the 2018 National Tourism Year. Organized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the festival promises to be an impressive cultural celebration of the coastal region for the vibrant summer days. Besides immersing yourself in the cultural atmosphere with cheerful music, you can also embark on a journey to explore the islands in the bay and enjoy delicious, fresh seafood.
