The routes of the “Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths, 2022” mainly take place within the Cuc Phuong National Park and some buffer zone communes in the three provinces of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Hoa Binh. Athletes participating in the race will run through the tropical rainforest on limestone mountains over distances of 10 km, 25 km, 42 km, and a maximum distance of 70 km, combined with SUP paddling on the Buoi River.

The 2022 race attracted nearly 2,500 athletes (992 women, 1,475 men) from France, Belgium, China, the USA, South Korea, India, Australia, the Philippines, Germany, the UK, Japan, and Malaysia. The youngest athlete was Le Thao Dieu Anh, born in 2017, competing in the 10 km race; the oldest foreign athlete was Siddhartha Ishwerbhai Patel, born in 1952, competing in the 42 km race; and the oldest domestic athlete was Khuong Dinh Thang, born in 1960, competing in the 70 km race. The organizing committee will award 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 4 third prizes, and 4 prizes for the oldest athletes to complete each distance. Finisher medals will be awarded simultaneously to all athletes who complete the race within the time limit.
According to Deputy Director of Cuc Phuong National Park, Do Van Lap, “Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths, 2022” is considered a genuine professional activity, linked to the construction and development of ecotourism; aiming to educate and raise awareness about nature conservation in Cuc Phuong National Park. This is also a product celebrating Cuc Phuong's 60th anniversary of construction and development.

BTC further shared, “Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths, 2022” is an opportunity for all domestic and international athletes who are inclined towards community sports activities; to spread the message of protecting nature and the environment.
“Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths, 2022” will be organized as an annual international long-distance running event, with the aim of turning this race into an ecotourism product to spread the message of conservation and sustainable development.
