The routes of “Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths, 2022” take place mainly in Cuc Phuong National Park and some buffer zone communes in the three provinces of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Hoa Binh. Athletes participating in the tournament will run through the forest on the tropical rainforest terrain on limestone mountains with distances of 10 km, 25 km, 42 km and the longest distance of 70 km combined with SUP rowing on the Buoi River.

The 2022 tournament will feature nearly 2,500 athletes (992 women, 1,475 men) from France, Belgium, China, the US, South Korea, India, Australia, the Philippines, Germany, the UK, Japan and Malaysia. The youngest athlete is Le Thao Dieu Anh, born in 2017, participating in the 10 km distance; the oldest foreign athlete is Siddhartha Ishwerbhai Patel, born in 1952, participating in the 42 km distance; the oldest domestic athlete is Khuong Dinh Thang, born in 1960, participating in the 70 km distance. The Organizing Committee will award 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 4 prizes for the oldest athlete to complete the distance for each distance. The distance completion medal will be awarded simultaneously to all athletes who finish within the time limit.
According to Deputy Director of Cuc Phuong National Park Do Van Lap, “Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths, 2022” is considered a truly professional activity, associated with the construction and development of eco-tourism; aiming to educate and raise awareness about nature conservation in Cuc Phuong National Park. This is also a product to celebrate Cuc Phuong’s 60th anniversary of establishment and development.

The Organizing Committee added that “Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths, 2022” is an opportunity for all domestic and international athletes who are interested in community sports activities; spreading the message of protecting nature and the environment.
“Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths, 2022” will be organized as an annual international long-distance race, with the desire to turn this race into an eco-tourism product to spread the message of conservation and sustainable development.
