Mr. Tran Trung Hieu (33 years old, freelance photographer in Hoi An) just had a camping trip to hunt clouds in Tak Po and said: “A few years ago, I also planned to go to the top of Tak Po but I didn’t have the chance. Recently, I saw many friends sharing beautiful cloud hunting photos so I decided to experience it. I have traveled to many other places so I definitely couldn’t miss a cloud hunting spot right in Quang Nam, only 170 km from where I live.”
To be able to wake up early in the morning to hunt clouds and welcome the sunrise, Trung Hieu and other members decided to spend two days and one night camping at Tak Po. Departing from Hoi An at 6am, the group traveled 170km, then hiked about 100m to reach the campsite.

To prepare for a camping trip to hunt clouds and welcome the sunrise in Tak Po, Mr. Trung Hieu shared: “There is no tent rental service in Tak Po, so you need to bring all the necessary equipment. That is a tent, necessary cooking utensils, food, drinks and a tarp to cover in case of rain in the afternoon. Besides, you can prepare some candy to share with the children here.”
