Chu Dang Ya in the J'rai language means "wild ginger", this is an extinct volcano located in Ploi Lagri village, Chu Dang Ya commune, Chu Pah district, Gia Lai province. Hidden in the vast Central Highlands, this extinct volcano is now a lush farming area for local people as the lava layer has created fertile red soil over millions of years of history.
